Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter is an American actress and producer well recognized for her highly laudable performance in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. The actress won numerous awards, like an Oscar for the film Piano. Actresses have an extensive career of involvement in Broadway as well as Off-Broadway initiatives. Passionate about acting since her childhood, she performed Helen Keller in a play in the fifth grade. She was born deaf in the one ear due to mumps but did not let this disability dampen her desire to be an actor. She studied drama at college before moving from Pittsburgh and moved to New York City to follow her dreams. Hunter was stuck in the lift of playwright Beth Henley when she met her. They collaborated to create Broadway Crimes of the Heart which marked Hunter's Broadway debut. After moving to Los Angeles, Hunter tried to get films to play. The role of a supporting actress was found for Swing Shift. In the last three decades she's appeared in numerous TV shows and films. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was also awarded her the Women in Film Lucy Award.
